Brighton Motortrike

During our brief walkaround the Brighton seafront I spotted this machine, I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of it.

Neighbours Garden in Infrared

I decided to take a quick shot of the neighbouring garden this morning while the Sun was out with my Infra Red camera with a slight adjustment with the channel swapping in photoshop

Devon Watermill in Infra Red

Another Infra Red image taken from the trip to Devon with the converted Canon 350d using the 720nm filter.

Stairway To Hell

Bit of a delay with my posts recently what with house moving and sorting everything out etc, so now I have got my PC connected up I thought I would share a post while I have a few spare minutes on my hand.
This image was taken from my break in Devon last year at a place called Shaldon, these steps lead to Ness Beach. I have used Topaz Adjust and ColorEfex to add a little effect to the original image.

Vintage Rolls Royce (Interior)

I’m still flicking through my shoebox of older images, looking for ones that I have left behind for one reason or another due to the fact that they didn’t quite appeal to me at the time but as time goes on your mind can change so what wasn’t worth posting back then can suddenly jump out and become somewhat attractive to work on at a later date.
Anyway this was a shot taken last year on my visit to PA Woods to shoot some of their collection of classic cars. With this image I wanted a soft colourful blur effect with a heavy illustrative feel to it also a bit of extra saturation in the colours to hopefully give it a bit more character.

The (Out of) Control Room

I was having a dig through some of my old shots from Pyestock over the weekend to see if there was anything that was worth processing and posting. I originally had left this one behind as I didn’t think I could do much with it especially with so much green in the picture.
So what I have done is gone for the faded surreal appearance to it and really drained the colours away from the shot and removed as much dark shadows as I could to lighten up the image.

The Bandstand

I seem to be hitting the panoramic shots so far this week, I really enjoy working with panoramics and seeing the final result as you can fit so much more into the image than you normally would with a standard single shot.
This 6 shot image is of the Bandstand that is located in the busy Dartmouth town centre, luckily for me this particular area was fairly quiet which gave me the chance to get quite a clear “almost people free” shot.

Dartmouth Panoramic

This is a shot taken looking out over Dartmouth Harbour in Devon, the photo itself comes from seven different shots stitched together to form a panoramic scene.
These were all processed in photoshop, and with a few filters from ColorEfex added to it to give it a little more saturated look especially the sea and a glow effect to boost its vibrancy.

Half Pipe

Another processed image from the nearby abandoned factory I visited a couple of weeks back.

A Devon Harbour

A throwback image from my break in Devon, this particular shot was taken looking out over the Harbour in Torquay. This particular image was taken with the Sony NEX 5 and I extracted 3 exposures in ACR from the singe RAW file and processed them into photomatix with a few filters from Niksoft’s ColorEfex.

Looking Inside

I couldn’t resist posting another shot before I leave for my 2 week break, the title speaks for itself, this was a shot taken looking into the cockpit of one of the Ford F100 trucks, merged in Photomatix and adjusted further in Colour Efex. I particularly like the amount of detail this shot shows especially the wrinkles embedded into the leather upholstery

The Haven

I took a trip over to Canvey Island the other evening which is only a 10 minute or so drive up the A13 for me to have a look around and pick out any future photographing locations.
I ended up at the most south westerly point on the island called Hole Haven which is right by the Thames Estuary, so I grabbed a few shots there and then.
I will be returning in the near future to explore further along the sea wall and the old pier so I am looking forward to going back and getting some more shots from this location.
.Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time,
Steve
