Streets of Dartmouth

This ‘street’ shot was taken along the waterfront of Dartmouth, its a lovely place to visit and have a general walkaround the area. It was taken while I was walking along the Bayards Cove which leads you to a place called ‘Bayards Fort’.
With this image I have merged my 3 brackets in photomatix and then processed it within photoshop, I have used a textured image to create a more ‘old/worn’ look to the photograph. I have never used textures before but it looks like you could have a great deal of fun playing around with them!
I have posted the original image before any processing was carried out to hopefully show you the difference from the unprocessed to the processed photograph and also the actual texture that was used.

Incredibly well done – really like the look of the textured image. This is something I’ve been wanting to play around with a bit but haven’t found the time. Really inspiring – i’ll need to give it a try!

Thanks once again Aaron, this was my first go with using textures and it was fun trying different ones out, I will look forward to seeing some of your textured photos
