Silky Steps

Still down in Devon with this image, and yet another waterfall appears! This shot was taken in Totness and is located by a set of cottages with a nice watermill in front of them. I initially went down there specifically to photograph the watermill itself as we had driven past it before and I had it in my mind to pop back with the camera to grab a few shots.
It wasn’t until we parked up next to it that behind the stone wall hidden away from view was this nice little flowing set of steps in the stream which lead on to meet the watermill.
So camera in hand I walked onto the wooden bridge to try and get as centred as a I could to the stream and initially I had the wide angle lens attached which wasn’t quite suitable as I needed a little more zoom to close up the distance between me and the steps so I switched over to the 70-200mm attached the ND filter and took a set of shots over various long exposures
This shot was taken on a 10 second exposure using the 0.9 ND filter from Lee
I have recently installed a nice little plugin that will now show the EXIF data on the image when you hover your cursor over any of my images
