Future Train

A low shot from a rather empty carriage of one of the District Line underground trains I took from the other week, I have been meaning to do this kind of shot for a while but never real had the opportunity due to other passengers being on board. So when I was seated and realised it was empty, out came the camera and grabbed a few shots from almost floor level to enhance the composition.

The original shot was a single RAW taken with the ‘handy’ Sony NEX-5 and the -4, -2, 0, +2, +4 brackets were created in Adobe Camera Raw before pushing it through both Silver Efex Pro 2 for the black and white effect blended in with the selective colour and a few contrast filters within Color Efex Pro 4

  1. Love it Steve…I wish Metro trains in Montreal looked this clean, but after 40 years in service they are planned for renewal in the near future :-)

  3. Hi Steve, this is a classic shot. Love the viewpoint, and the colours. The beautiful and delicate tonal range is memorable.
